Townshend Post Office
HOURS are as follows:
Access to your Post Office Box is from 7:45 AM until 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Saturday, 8:00 AM until Noon.
The service counter, for buying stamps, mailing packages, etc., is open from 8:30 AM until Noon and 1:30 PM until 4:45 PM, Monday through Friday.
Saturday hours are 9:00 AM until Noon.
The Post Office is closed on Federal holidays.

Townshend Lake, Townshend Lake Recreation Area and Townshend Dam
Nestled in the foothills of the Green Mountains, Townshend Lake offers many opportunities for outdoor recreation. Although the facility is maintained by the Army Corps of Engineers (and is not owned or managed by the Town of Townshend), families come to enjoy the extensive recreation areas, featuring shaded picnic areas, volleyball courts, grassy play areas, and hiking trails.
