Front Porch Forum is a widely used Vermont-based community listserv where Townshend residents and neighbors share recommendations, announcements, and local happenings. Residents may sign up to receive email updates and use the keyword search feature to explore community discussions. In addition, there are informal Facebook groups serving the community.

Regional Meetups & Events
SoVermont
SoVermont hosts periodic newcomer mixers in Brattleboro and organizes events during Gallery Walk (May– December). Southern Vermont Young Professionals (ages 22–45) offers social, recreational, and volunteer opportunities throughout Southern Vermont. Additional community activities and gatherings are often listed on regional “Things to Do” calendars.
